This is a fine World War II U.S. Marine Corps Pattern 1936 Eagle, Globe and Anchor left side collar insignia for the dress blue uniform. The insignia is pin back and has a separately attached, delicately twisted silver wire rope fouling the anchor. The continents on the globe have been separately applied giving it a nice 3-dimensional look. The reverse side of the eagle’s wings are marked, “Sterling” and with the “H-H” logo. The reverse side of the tip of the anchor is marked, “1/20 10k G.F.” and with the H&H eagle logo. The pin and roller locking catch assemblies remain functional. The insignia exhibits slight wear but remains in excellent condition.
